Winston & Strawn LLP has named Amanda L. Groves co-chair of the Diversity Committee.  Actively involved in firm management, Groves, a litigation partner in the firm’s San Francisco office, is already a member of the firm’s Hiring and Mentoring Committees.

“Winston & Strawn has a long-standing commitment to diversity, and Amanda has demonstrated her initiative to furthering our firm’s Diversity Charter and will be an excellent leader for the group,” said Thomas Fitzgerald, firmwide managing partner.

Winston & Strawn’s Diversity Committee is composed of 25 attorneys, including Fitzgerald and five other members of the Executive Committee, as well as the attorneys in charge of recruiting, professional development and business development.  The Committee drafted a Diversity Charter, formally adopted in 2002, outlining its mission, commitment and responsibility in achieving greater diversity.  Joe Torres, a labor and employment partner in the firm’s Chicago office, is the committee’s other co-chair
