Dreier LLP have announced that through its Diversity Initiative, the firm will fund a scholarship for law

students administered by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), and that the firm's attorneys will also act as mentors for New York City high school students considering a career in law through the Justice Resource Center's MENTOR program.

Dreier LLP has committed $30,000 to the MCCA Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Program. The recipient of the Dreier LLP-funded scholarship will receive a $10,000 grant for each of his or her three years of law school, will be known as the "Dreier Fellow" and will receive professional development support and mentoring from the firm, which may include the opportunity to work as a summer associate.

"Diversity is a core principle of Dreier LLP," stated Marc S. Dreier, founder and managing partner of the firm. "We have always sought to make a real difference in the practice of law, and we are proud to be able  to support these initiatives to help students of diverse backgrounds reach their dreams of meaningful careers in the legal profession."

The Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. scholarships are awarded to outstanding students from accredited law schools who have records of academic achievement, leadership and a commitment to diversity.
