Cozen O’Connor contributed more than a million dollars in local cash and in-kind contributions to the community in 2006, thereby outranking all other Philadelphia law firms on the list developed by the Philadelphia Business Journal and published in its May 2 issue. Cozen O’Connor’s donations placed it in the number 12 spot out of 76 companies identified on the list and the firm was surpassed in its charitable contributions only by major publicly-traded companies, insurance and financial organizations, a utility and a sports team.
In all, Cozen O’Connor earned first place in the following categories: Top Philanthropic Donor; Top In-Kind Services Donor in the large company category, recognizing the firm’s dedication to pro bono work; Top Volunteer Donor, recognizing the firm’s work with charities such as the Police Athletic League, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and Variety – The Children’s Charity; and the Community Impact Award. The firm was also honored in the Cash Contributions category.
